ISRO executive banners off shipment of India's biggest fluid 



ISRO Chairman K Sivan Wednesday hailed off the shipment of India's biggest fluid hydrogen stockpiling tank at the VRV Asia Pacific's assembling plant at Sri City in Chittoor locale of Andhra Pradesh. 


VRV Asia Pacific made the capacity tank with a Liquid Nitrogen (LIN) shield, in a collective exertion with Satish Dhawan Space Center (SDSC) SHAR, under the Make in India activity, a public statement here said. 

The capacity limit of the tank is 120 kilo liters. 

Fluid hydrogen is utilized as fuel for satellite dispatch vehicles. 

Talking on the event, the ISRO boss complimented the VRV group and different groups for indigenously acknowledging such a propelled adaptation of the fluid hydrogen stockpiling tank. 

"I consider this as just a start for our collaboration. VRV should approach to attempt the manufacture works of locally available tanks of rockets too," he said. 

SHAR Director S Pandian said shipment of the fluid hydrogen tank was a run of the mill case of ISRO-Industry participation for acknowledging import substitutes indigenously. 

VRV Managing Director G L Ranganekar clarified the specialized complexities of the tank and its acknowledgment procedure, and expressed gratitude toward ISRO for broadening full participation. 

VRV Asia Pacific, a Chart Group organization, plans and produces cryogenic gear from its processing plant situated in Sri City. 

VRV's unit at Sri City is a standout amongst the most mechanically modern assembling offices of cryogenic hardware on the planet.
